Solar Water Heater
I used 3/4 inch copper pipe, about 25 feet length mounting it on to 3/16 thick sheet metal surface ($50) in a
2x4 box with hard plywood bottom and fiberglass insulation inside under the
metal plate, I used a glass window ($50) to cover the top of the box and painted everything inside black.
The two ways to use this solar heater is: (1) hook it up in series before the regular water heater or
(2) hook it up in parallel and use a small electric motor to circulate water from the regular water heater
during hot sunny days by using a solar power source for the motor.
